Artist Statement
My choreographic work is driven by a deep curiosity about how bodies navigate, inhabit, and reshape space. I see choreography as a spatial art form, where movement becomes a way to sculpt with energy, direction, and stillness. My process is guided by two intertwined ways of thinking: one that seeks structure, logic, and spatial coherence, and another that follows intuition, sensation, and disruption. I live in the in-between, between logic and creativity, between clarity and ambiguity.
As a female artist and choreographer, I am passionate about fostering collaborative and equitable creative spaces that empower voices and challenge traditional power dynamics in dance-making. I believe meaningful dialogue and shared leadership are essential to the artistic process, and I strive to cultivate spaces where experimentation, respect, and inclusion can thrive. My goal is to continue developing work that is not only compelling in its movement but also transformative in its creative culture.

My movement language draws from my contemporary and modern foundations with the structural elements of ballet. At times, I turn to pointe work not for its tradition but for the unexpected possibilities it offers. Improvisation is central to how I create; it uncovers textures and pathways that feel intuitive and layered. I’m drawn to contrast, structure and softness, tension and fluidity, and I aim to create work that resonates on a deeply human level without relying on literal narrative. Instead, I’m interested in creating environments that provoke instinctive responses.
